Ruth and James first approached SNUG back in 2023 because Ruth wanted to raise money for SNUG by doing something truly huge –  chopping off her EPICLY long hair for sponsorship money for SNUG. James and Ruth were all ready to go, when someone suggested to them that perhaps Ruths hair was SO long that it would be a world record cutting it off and donating it to charity! This comment got them thinking and they decided to do some research and go for it!

Hello 👋
I’m Ruth, I have 4 lovely boys.
Aged 8-6-4-1 years old.
Our last baby was premature by 5weeks and had a difficult time in hospital catching meningitis.
But being a little trooper and being in hospital myself for 25days, as I had pre eclampsia.
Exeter neonatal were brilliant, and SNUG charity which help in hospital and after providing me extra support.
My hair is currently do

wn bellow my calves, we are hoping for a large cut!!! Over 1mtr 55cm.
So will be extremely different for me as this will be a head shave  😱🤯

On Sunday 1st September, Ruth went above and beyond and underwent this HUGE chop!!
